Cut and merge videos without quality loss, add effects, filters and titles, embed soundtracks, adjust the sharpness and color balance, stabilize recordings and more. The tool works with numerous formats such as AVI, FLV, MPEG, MKV, DivX, MOV, etc.

Movavi Video Editor helps you create your own movies even if you do not know much about editing. The tool has a nice interface, in which a central role is played by a timeline. Thus, there is a simple workflow consisting in importing such media objects as audio, pictures and video footage and placing them in the timeline to create a sequence. In this respect, you should know that the product supports an automatic way to create a video slideshow, called Montage Wizard.

It is excellent that the program cannot only load various types of media files from disk but also capture video or record audio. The imported objects can then be previewed before you use them in your project. Fortunately, there is a huge built-in library of objects you can use as well.

Various editing operations are allowed, which include cropping, rotating, cutting and trimming clips. Likewise, the tool supports separating the video and soundtracks in an object with the purpose of replacing its original audio.

Movavi Video Editor supports a long list of effects, including chroma balance, contrast, deblocking, autofilter and blur. It is also possible to add nice transitions between clips and insert various types of texts and labels. Finally, the editor allows exporting your results in multiple file formats. Similarly, you can also upload your video directly to YouTube, send it to a mobile device or burn it to disc.

All in all, Movavi Video Editor has a decent set of features at a reasonable price. It is certainly not as sophisticated as the leading products of its type but it is more than enough for most everyday video-creation purposes. Its trial version can be tested freely but it is a shame that it leaves a watermark on your clip. Unluckily, it may also try to install additional third-party components. The product is sold in two versions: Standard and Plus; and it is also available in a bundled of eight programs called Video Suite.
